Na pobřeží Chile, přesněji v přístavním městě
Valparaiso, zvaném také jako město tisíce schodů, se
uskutečnil závod VCA urban downhill race. Byl to závod na
způsob evropského Red Bull DownTown Lisabon, tedy sjezd v ulicích města. Do
závodu bylo pozváno 60 jezdců, většina z nich z jihoamerického
kontinentu až na pár sjezdařů ze ostatního světa jako Brendan
Fairclough, Steve Smith nebo Micayla

Závod byl v naprosté režii domácích, prvních 20 příček obsadilo 17 domácích jezdců. Nejlepším zahraničním jezdcem se stal kanaďan Steve Smith, který obsadil 3. místo se ztrátou 10s na vítěze.
Mezi děvčaty vyhrála velice talentovaná, 16ti letá, brazilka Luana Oliveira.
